The Treasury Bar & Lounge is our designer heritage lobby lounge and bar – a refined, all-day destination for locals and global travellers alike. Open 7 days a week from 7:00 am to midnight, The Treasury is the first F&B experience for many of our guests and an essential part of our hotel’s heart and soul.
Your Day to Day
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support the Venue Manager in leading the daily operations of The Treasury Bar & Dining. In this hands-on role, you’ll help guide a team of over 20 dedicated bar and floor staff, ensuring service flows seamlessly and every guest feels genuinely cared for.
You will work closely with the Venue Manager to:
Lead by example on the floor, engaging guests with warmth, precision, and professionalism aligned with Forbes standard
Assist in training and coaching the team to deliver thoughtful, intuitive service with consistency and pride
Maintain service flow and presentation, ensuring each interaction feels personal and polished
Support all operational aspects including stock control, ordering, rostering, and team briefings
Collaborate closely with the culinary and events teams to deliver seamless service across the venue
Drive guest satisfaction by managing feedback in real time and always striving for excellence
Uphold and embody InterContinental’s values and luxury brand standards

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a premium dining or luxury bar setting
A genuine passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service
Strong food, beverage, and service knowledge
Confidence leading a team and fostering a supportive, high-performance culture
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Financial awareness and basic understanding of labour and cost control
NSW RSA certification
Full Australian working rights
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
A relevant qualification in hospitality or tourism will be highly regarded.
