Welcome to The Farmers Arms Daylesford.
We are an iconic country pub, located in the beautiful and vibrant town of Daylesford (only an hour and twenty minutes from Melbourne). We are surrounded by fantastic, local produce and nestled in the fabulous Macedon wine region, offering some of the best food and wine in Regional Victoria.
But we are more than just your usual pub - offering elevated pub fare, great local beer and wines and professional, friendly and memorable service.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will support the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of food, beverage, and event service. You will help lead and motivate the team, assist with rostering, stock control, compliance, and drive a welcoming and professional atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Venue Manager in daily operations and team management
Lead shifts, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction
Assist with staff training, rostering, and performance management
Oversee stock ordering, control, and venue presentation
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
Help coordinate and deliver successful events and functions
Foster a positive team culture and uphold The Farmers Arms’ strong reputation
About You:
Previous experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles
Strong leadership and communication skills
Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused
Passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences
Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
RSA and food safety certifications (or willingness to obtain)Job Benefits
