Salary: $97,377.80 - $101,787.90 per annum pro rata plus superannuation plus salary sacrifice
Employment Type: Part-time (0.4FTE), flexible days and hours
Tenure: 12 Month Contract with the possibility of extension
Location: Highgate, Perth, Western Australia
About CASWA
The Council of Aboriginal Services Western Australia (CASWA) is dedicated to strengthening the Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) sector in WA by supporting self-determination, cultural authority, and sector development. CASWA works closely with ACCOs to ensure Aboriginal-led solutions drive systemic change, particularly in areas like justice, health, housing, and child protection.
About the role
CASWA is seeking an HR Advisor to provide comprehensive human resources support across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is key in driving HR strategy, employee relations, recruitment, and workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance.
The HR Advisor will support CASWA’s mission to foster a positive workplace culture and strengthen the ACCO sector by delivering high-quality HR services that align with our values and goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide HR advice across recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
Lead recruitment processes for permanent, temporary and fixed-term positions.
Coordinate WHS processes and ensure the organisation adheres to safety regulations.
Lead the development of HR policies and procedures.
Support employee development and training programs.
Lead the transition of HR functions from AHCWA and ensure business continuity.
To excel in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Proven experience in generalist HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
Strong knowledge of legislation, industrial relations principles, and WHS compliance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse workforce.
