We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join Civic Disability Services as a Human Resources Advisor.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an amazing opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor eager to gain Not for profit experience working in the Sutherland Shire. You will develop valuable experience in HR Investigations, IR, Workers Compensation Coordination, Induction & training.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Senior Human Resources Advisor will provide support and advice to leaders and the wider workforce on SCHADs and Supported Employment Services (SES) Award application and interpretation.
This role is all about relationships! You will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including operations leaders, support workers, corporate team members, rostering and payroll.
Your day will include:
Managing investigations, grievances and other performance processes
Accept and respond to HR enquiries using the HR Ticketing system
Participate in assessment centres, co-facilitate group inductions and training.
Maintain probity and governance requirements by following up soon to be expired probity
Coordinate Workers Compensation claims and manage recover at work plans
Be a coach and trusted advisor to those you are supporting on a variety of HR issues
Provide HR metrics for reporting purposes

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
2+ years’ experience working in a similar role, ideally within Disability.
Formal qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Industrial Relations Legislation and Awards.
Previous experience working with HRIS and Rostering systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, namely excel.
Current police check with a clear criminal record.
Current Working with Children check.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
