ABOUT THE POSITION

We seek an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our dynamic team in the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position for our newly opened East Perth campus. This position is for a candidate who pays attention to detail, is people-oriented, has excellent customer service skills, and has an optimistic mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Understanding the needs of the internal stakeholders and responding efficiently and correctly

Assist the student services team in providing support to students

Answering the phone, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately

Distributing incoming correspondence mail and dispatching outgoing correspondence mail appropriately

Maintaining the campus in a clean and tidy state at all times

Processing customer payments, including monitoring and recording petty cash payments according to organisational policies and procedures

Attending to student enquiries and referring them to appropriate departments

Coordinating and organising meetings, student orientations, social events, expos, and other activities

Maintenance of student records, filing, and resources

Management of office equipment such as photocopiers

Ordering office supplies, keeping inventory of stock

Providing support to the operations team for various administrative tasks.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Successful applicants will need to:

Have prior reception/operational experience

Be able to handle all situations with professionalism and integrity

Have excellent verbal and written English language skills and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation

Have excellent customer service, interpersonal and time management skills, and the ability to establish rapport with people from different cultural backgrounds

Strong technical skills: word processing skills, intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Eligibility to work full-time in Australia

Must hold or be willing to attain a First Aid Certificate and Fire Warden training.
