We currently seek an experienced, energetic and well organised Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor for our Bibra Lake office.
This role is integral to the smooth running of VIKING’s operations through logistics both locally and for our other service centres and partners around the region. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting a Warehouse Assistant.
What you will be doing:
Control and management of inventory within VIKING Australia, maintaining adequate stock levels, monitoring stock movement and turnover rates.
Assisting other departments with correct purchasing procedures and troubleshooting in SAP.
Coordinating day-to-day tasks for the Warehouse Assistant and working closely together to achieve objectives.
Maintain a well-ordered and clean warehouse, adhering to all safety procedures and processes.
Conduct regular stock takes to identify any discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Inbound and outbound deliveries, including picking and packing.
Purchasing and procurement of required parts and products from VIKING manufacturing facilities and external suppliers.
Assist in other areas of the business where needed.
What you will need:
Demonstrable experience with SAP and MS Office.
Previous experience in an inventory control type role.
Experience managing a warehouse and a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
Able to adapt and be flexible to changing situations and priorities.
Willingness to learn and develop.
Work well within a team.
Possess a current and valid forklift licence.
Have a current and valid driver’s licence.
Qualification in storing/handling and transport of hazardous/dangerous goods would be highly desirable.
Rights to live and work in Australia permanently.
