Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA
Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA (FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas.

We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing, and allied health students. This includes the Doctor of Medicine Rural Stream (MDRS) program and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements.

About the Role
Under general direction, the Rural Student Services Officer provides front-line, customer-focused support to students, staff, and stakeholders, enhancing the student experience and contributing to a welcoming and engaging rural campus environment.

Based at the Murray Bridge Campus, the role oversees daily operations of rural campuses and student accommodation in the Murray Bridge and Mallee region. Responsibilities include WHS orientations, managing student accommodation inquiries and changeovers, coordinating inspections, maintaining supplies, and overseeing regional fleet vehicle servicing.

The officer also supports administration and student placements through the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) program, including medical, nursing, and allied health students. The role collaborates with the Rural Education team on projects aimed at improving the student experience and supporting the rural health workforce.

About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Effective administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and make independent and informed judgement on a range of student related matters.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce quality reports and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering a range of functions, activities, or events.
  • Financial management skills including the ability to monitor and report on program expenditure.
  • Computer literacy including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and applications.
