THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $60,416 - $65,237 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.8 EFT.
Location: Moorabbin campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Contract of employment until 5 November 2025. Please note, this is a leave coverage.
We are seeking a capable and motivated Administration Officer to support the Student Wellbeing and Student Engagement & Equity teams. In this role, you will manage a range of administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, responding to enquiries, and supporting reporting and finance processes.
You will be the first point of contact for students seeking support and play a key role in coordinating logistics for events and workshops. The role also involves liaising with staff and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and strong working relationships.

About the role:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including scheduling, calendar management, and enquiries
- Be the first point of contact for students seeking wellbeing or engagement support
- Liaise with staff and external stakeholders to support clear, effective communication
- Maintain accurate student records and assist with data reporting
- Coordinate logistics for student events and workshops, including bookings and communications
- Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and monitoring budgets
- Support continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in administrative or support roles, ideally within a student services or educational environment.
- Strong understanding of student wellbeing, engagement, and equity services, along with the ability to navigate related processes and resources.
- Firm commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards, particularly concerning student data, ensuring all interactions adhere to these principles.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and practical experience with student management systems or databases.
- Relevant qualification in business administration, management, or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in business practices.

It promotes a vibrant and participatory student life and advocates for the needs of diverse students, offering services such as disability support and services for First Nations students. The department is responsible for promoting diversity, equity and inclusion and overseeing strategic initiatives that promote student voice and partnership.
