Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating day-to-day fleet scheduling and allocation to meet the needs of a 24/7 operation
- Monitoring legislative compliance (transport and environmental), vehicle fitness, and operator competency
- Coaching and supporting your drivers and field teams on safe work practices
- Participating in an on-call roster to support round-the-clock customer service delivery
- Working closely with disposal facilities, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to maximise commercial efficiency
- Tracking and managing labour hours and costs to ensure commercial targets are met without compromising quality or safety
- Optimise revenue by identifying efficiencies, controlling costs, assessing partner contracts, labour workforce and overtime, to identify any financial risks
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in fleet coordination, scheduling, or operations within logistics, transport or environmental waste management solutions
- A safety first, resilient, pragmatic mindset, calm under pressure, someone who keeps things moving and a ‘can do’ positive mind-set
- Strong communication skills. You’ll lead from the front and engage people at all levels
- A process-focused, driven work ethic. You’ll know how to juggle priorities, stay organised, and deliver, with a continuous improvement lens
- High degree of commercial awareness. You’ll understand the balance between service, safety and cost to identify efficiencies, increase revenue, whilst exceeding customer expectations and delivering business outcomes with integrity
- Strong systems and technical skills are a must
