Your new role

Due to the growth of our operations the position for an afternoon Shift PM Fleet Controller/ Transport Scheduler has become vacant. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager,

Responsibilities include:

As part of a team manage the transport demands of our customers utilising our fleet based in Dandenong and Truganina. From receipt of transport orders to allocation to carriers, execution and completion of jobs.

Managing end of day, manage afternoon PUD's, liaising with DC's and drivers, reorganising tomorrows start times and work allocations where required, end of shift hand over report.

Completing and approving jobs from the days work in Consignmate TMS system, checking and POD's and pallet transfer dockets.

Use of Consignmate App as main communication interface between the company and Company Drivers and Subcontractors

Unloading exchange pallets via forklift at end of shift where required.

Day to day operational exception management to ensure customer and internal targets are achieved;

Maintain and develop excellent relationship with both customers and internal stakeholders.

Provide accurate and timely advice and information on transport order status to customers in an effective manner

Prepare and use of reports and other information to support day to day decisions

Practice safe work methods, Chain of responsibility and make proper use of safety equipment and engage management, employees and other stakeholders to eliminate workplace hazards
What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this position, you will need to have a solid understanding of the road transport industry, including sub contractor management and COR. You will have been in a Transport based role for a minimum of 2 years, and will be able to demonstrate excellent computer skills, high analytical skills, hold a forklift licence, along with a strong resilience and determination to getting the job done.
