About the role:

Operating within Placement Services, the Team Leader Placement Services provides leadership and coordination of all administrative operations and day-to-day business regarding Faculty clinical/ professional placements for the relevant campus. The position will supervise clinical administrative staff and coordinate activities undertaken by clinical administrative staff, providing hands-on support as necessary. This position will also be responsible for a designated activity within the Faculty-wide clinical administration portfolio, for example: InPlace (student placement software); standard policy & procedures, or clinical placement agreements. More specifically the role entails:

Planning, managing, and coordinating all local Placement Services functions on assigned campus(es) to ensure efficient and effective operation and a consistent Faculty approach within relevant regulatory, policy and procedural frameworks. This includes responsibility for the delivery of clinical practice placement administration, managing the administrative implementation of contracts with Placement Agencies, and managing and reporting on the allocation and progress of student placements.

Managing the staff in Placement Services on assigned campus(es), including responsibility for recruitment, assessing and meeting training and development requirements; performance management; leave management and casual staff requirements during peak periods.

Coordinating workload and workflow of Placement Services to effectively manage and maintain working knowledge of all services, and act to prioritise and plan workload for peak periods. Hands-on support may be required.

Supporting activities and communication within Placement Services to promote a culture of high-level client service and of continuous improvement.

Maintaining and reviewing standard operating procedures and other systems, and provide recommendations to enhance the quality, efficiency and level of customer service provided by Placement Services.

Acts as the main liaison between Placement Services, Schools, students & placement agencies to ensure administrative needs/requirements of key stakeholders are being met.

About Placement Services:

Placement Services is a specialist unit within the Office of the Associate Dean, Learning, Teaching and Professional Experience (OADLTPE) within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The unit is dedicated to ensuring that every student in the Faculty has access to appropriate, sustainable and high-quality professional practice placements. Placement Services works collaboratively to support internal and external stakeholders with high-level customer service to enable seamless placement administration and student placement experiences.

What we offer:

Total remuneration valued to $121,117 - $131,031 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $102,346 - $110,723 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 2.8% increase will be effective from the beginning of the last full pay period before 30 June 2025.

17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.

Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
