Active Life OT provides community OT services to adults across the Central Coast and specialise in carrying out functional assessments for clients who require housing, assistive technology/ equipment and/ or home modifications. We work with mainly NDIS participants and My Aged Care clients.
We value great outcomes for our clients and a work-life balance for everyone in our small, friendly team who are based in our office in Erina but work in the community and also from home.
About the position:
This new role is proposed on an initially start up basis of 2 to 3 days a week with potential to increase days. The successful candidate will be able to:
Assist the business owner in the set up and development of organisation systems
Manage new referral queries in consultation with principal OT.
Set up new clients on Splose (our case management system) and complete necessary intake forms and documentation.
Manage accounts and liaise with bookkeeper/ accountant as needed. Knowledge of Xero is essential.
Communicate with referrers and third parties.
Provide reports to Business owner and practitioners
Answer incoming calls and emails.
Manage our client service agreements - setting up service agreements, sending out for signatures, monitoring our clients booked funding allocations and liaising with the team as needed on this
General administrative tasks for therapists including typing, scanning, sending letters and reports
About you:
Must haves:
Experience in a similar practice management/ administration role in an allied health or medical setting
Excellent self, people and time management skills
Proficient computer and IT skills – we are trying to move towards a paper ’less’ office
Experience with an allied health/ therapy case management system is essential. We currently use Splose and experience in this will be highly regarded.
Be fluent in NDIS speak (or at least understand some of the lingo in this challenging and constantly changing space).
Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
Strong verbal and written skills to interact professionally across various disciplines
Ability to empathise with our clients, take a genuine interest and communicate with them
Be reliable
Maintain confidentiality
A positive attitude
Current police check (National Police Certificate), NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
A good sense of humour
There is potential for the right person to be involved in some OT/ therapy assistant and face to face work with our clients if they have the right qualities and skills. Further training may be offered/ required for this, and additional hours may be available.
