About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinic, leading a small team of non-clinical staff and ensuring the business side of the practice runs smoothly. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a hands-on approach — including occasionally stepping in at reception when needed.
You’ll play a key role in:
People & Culture
Leading and supporting all staff
Staff rostering, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
Coaching and developing your team, with a focus on ongoing education and professional growth
Managing internal communication and handling patient or staff concerns with professionalism
Supporting a positive and collaborative clinic culture
Practice Operations & Growth
Finalising and maintaining accreditation standards
Managing PIP and WIP payments
Collaborating with clinic principals to set and deliver on annual goals
Planning and implementing strategies for growth, including:
Expanding service offerings
Filling rooms with allied health professionals
Setting up GP registrar placements
Overseeing marketing efforts and maintaining our online presence (website, Google reviews, etc.)
Ensuring the smooth functioning of booking systems (HotDoc) and business software (Best Practice)
Administration & Finance
Preparing reports for accountant
Batching
Debt recovery and cashflow oversight
Implementing systems to improve patient flow and front-desk efficiency
Managing stock and clinic resources
Ensuring accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks
Keeping practice checklists and reporting regularly to the principals
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in medical practice management (including accreditation)
Strong knowledge of Best Practice software
Skilled in staff leadership, development, and rostering
Sound administrative, financial, and marketing skills
Tech-savvy with confidence
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and genuine passion for healthcare
