The Mike Reynolds Early Childhood Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit Centre managed by a parent committee and Director, is located in beautiful tropical Townsville, North Queensland, Situated right beside the beach, the Strand and the Strand waterpark.

Established in 1993, we are a long day care facility including a purpose-built Kindergarten. We cater for up to 67 beautiful children each day and strive to provide the best quality of care and education for our children, staff and families.

We are looking for Full Time Educator and a Centre Cook that are passionate about children and their wellbeing. Ideally you have experience and in early childhood education.

We also currently have an exciting opportunity for Educators to commence immediately!

Ideally we would like the successful candidates to commence as soon as possible and start creating and developing strong relationships with our beautiful families, our fantastic team and community.

Tasks & responsibilities

Collaborate with the Educational Leader and management team, ensuring the well-being of children.

Contribute effectively to the team, work with Educational Leader and other educators to deliver a high-quality service in line with legislative requirements and Centre policies.

Ensure a healthy, safe, and welcoming environment, providing constant supervision.

Interact with children, families, and co-workers to foster positive relationships.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or currently enrolled and studying towards (or the ACECQA-assessed equivalent)

Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

Current First Aid + CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain)

Commitment to health, hygiene, and safety practices.

Excellent communication skills

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a long day-care early learning setting and familiarity with Early Childhood Code of Ethics.
