About the role

Join the passionate team at Little Champions Child Care as a Float Lead Educator. In this full-time role, you will work closely with the NS and AP across the centre, providing high-quality care and education to children of all ages. As a Float Lead Educator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching team, ensuring seamless coverage and consistent, nurturing experiences for the children in our care. Our centre is a small family-owned and operated service with a maximum of 16 children in the Toddler, Pre-Kindy and Kindy room and a maximum of 8 children in the Nursery.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily activities and routines within the centre, ensuring a safe, engaging and educational environment for all children

Develop and implement stimulating, age-appropriate learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Observe, document and assess children's development, and collaborate with the team to plan individualised learning experiences

Foster positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

Mentor and support junior educators, modelling best practice in early childhood education

Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or actively working towards

Minimum 2 years' experience as an early childhood educator, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care

Strong understanding of the National Quality Standards and the ability to implement them in practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues

A passionate, nurturing approach and a genuine commitment to supporting the holistic development of young children

First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
