About the role

Miniversity Early Learning Centre in Mundingburra, QLD is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Centre Cook/Educator to join our passionate team. This part-time role is essential in providing our young learners with nutritious meals and supporting their growth and development.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks that cater to the dietary requirements of our children

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and food preparation area

Assist with educational activities and routines to support children's learning and wellbeing

Collaborate with the teaching team to incorporate food education into the curriculum

Ensure all food preparation and storage adheres to food safety regulations

Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

What we're looking for

Relevant Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent

Food Safety Supervisor qualification

Experience in preparing nutritious meals for children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families and the team

Enthusiasm for promoting healthy eating habits and food education

Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
