My client is a leading Australian supplier of high-quality packaging solutions, servicing industries such as food & beverage, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, e-commerce, and more. With a reputation built on reliability and a broad product offering—including strapping machines, stretch wrap, tapes, void fill, paper products, and custom packaging solutions—they are trusted by businesses across the country to deliver efficiency and protection.
THE ROLE
We're on the hunt for a driven and self-motivated Business Development Manager to join a high-performing team in Melbourne. This is a road-based sales role where you'll spend the bulk of your time out in the field, identifying and winning new business opportunities.
You'll also spend some time in the office working closely with an Account Manager to support and grow existing clients. In addition to your own prospecting efforts, you'll benefit from a strong inbound pipeline—qualified leads generated through the website and other marketing channels.
Key responsibilities:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers
Work with the Account Manager to maximise revenue from existing clients
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
Maintain accurate records using the company CRM
ABOUT YOU
You're a natural hunter with a passion for sales and a track record of success in business development. You're energetic, goal-oriented, and love the thrill of closing deals.
Ideally, you have experience in packaging, paper, or plastics, but if you’re a high-performing sales professional from a related industry, we want to hear from you.
What you bring:
Proven success in a B2B sales role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
Experience selling into sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or food & beverage is a plus
Full driver’s licence
SALARY & BENEFITS
BASE $90,000 - $110,000 | Super 11.5% | Car | Commissions | Incentives
