About Us:
Cloud Agricultural (CloudAg) is mixed farming operation focused on brassica and other vegetable production and dedicated to animal welfare and sustainable practices. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team and oversee all HR functions, ensuring alignment with our core values and strategic goals.
Job Summary:
The HR Officer will manage all aspects of the human resources function within our business. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations, as well as the unique demands of an agricultural environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively across teams, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist company management with recruitment and staffing processes, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing across all farm locations.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, pastoral care and promoting a positive work environment.
Lead performance management initiatives, including setting performance standards, conducting evaluations, and supporting employee development.
Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage workplace health and safety programs.
Lead all HR records keeping and management in an organised and timely manner.
Provide insights and recommendations on workforce strategies to farm leadership.
Lead training programs focused on skills development, leadership, and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR certification is a plus)
HR experience, preferably within agriculture.
Experience with PALM scheme and other labour hire initiatives a plus.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and labor relations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
