Summary of Role

The Graphic Designer is responsible for:

• Tracking the progress of amended artwork

• Developing or modifying existing SDI product artwork to approved branding, functional that effectively communicates brand identity and product information, while adhering to regulatory guidelines
• Conducting work in a safe manner, adhering to quality compliance requirements and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and innovation.

Specific Responsibilities

• Modifies existing or develops artwork to ensure all instruction for use, packaging and label artwork meets approved branding and all relevant regulations and standards for medical device packaging as per Doc No. 44.020SOP Product Labelling and Packaging guidelines and Doc 44.579SOP Translation Process.
• Understands and applies artwork control and traceability process to ensure the integrity and consistency of designs throughout their lifecycle, from initial creation to final production.
• Executes artwork updates accurately, incorporating all required product information as specified for each category and region.
• Collaborates closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and Brand Managers to clarify and confirm artwork requirements.
• Prepares and drafts artwork files with and without overprint requirements, ensuring technical accuracy.
• Tracks and maintains up-to-date records of the progress and status of all artwork modifications.

Job Environment

• The position is located at Bayswater, Victoria
• Full time, 5 days per week
• Local, interstate and international travel as required.

Essential Qualification/ Experience

• Graphic Design
• At least 2 years' experience

• Problem solving

Knowledge and skills

• Familiar with Macs and Adobe creative suite, including InDesign and Illustrator
• Design experience
• Understanding printing processes, folding processes and other packaging techniques.
• Experience collaborating in a team environment
