Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of financial planning and control.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director/General Manager, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the business. This position is perfect for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to manage teams, systems, compliance, and stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Directing financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support overall business goals

Managing and reviewing financial reporting systems, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow

Developing and implementing robust internal controls and financial policies

Overseeing taxation compliance including BAS, PAYG, FBT, and liaising with the ATO and external accountants/auditors

Managing budgeting processes, cost control, and variance analysis across departments

Providing commercial and financial advice to the leadership team to guide strategic decision-making

Ensuring ongoing compliance with financial legislation, accounting standards, and corporate governance

Coordinating audit processes and preparing reports for stakeholders including directors, banks, and investors

Leading and mentoring a small finance team, enhancing capability and performance

Managing cash flow, funding, and investment strategies to maintain financial health

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or similar leadership role

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field

CPA / CA qualification (preferred but not mandatory)

Strong analytical and reporting skills with high attention to detail

Demonstrated experience managing financial teams or departments

Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and corporate compliance

Excellent communication skills – able to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or ERP systems)
