The Role
Some of your duties may include;
- Prepare initial cost estimates for construction tenders or bids.
- Analyse project documents, including blueprints and specifications, to determine requirements.
- Procure and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor costs during construction to keep projects on budget.
- Provide cost comparisons, identify cost-saving opportunities, and advise on project feasibility.
The Criteria
- Experience: 2-5 years of quantity surveyor or estimating experience, ideally in residential construction.
- Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Personal Attributes: A courageous mindset, values driven and a passion for delivering change.
