The opportunity

Tranz Logistics, a leading provider of Equipment hire in transport and logistics services throughout Australia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships across our logistics and equipment hire divisions.

Key responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics and equipment hire markets within the assigned geographical region

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions

Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients

Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making

Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategies

Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators

What we're looking for

Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles within the transport, logistics or equipment hire industries

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and interpret financial data

Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining long-term client relationships

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals

Familiarity with the regulatory environment and industry trends in the road transport and logistics sector

Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable
