Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking to engage Seven Infrastructure Engineers for a long-term contract opportunity working on a Technology Refresh ICT and Data Project.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Providing technical expertise to projects and business areas, and lead the technical deliverables;
• Implementing business as usual\major and minor project work to support Departmental initiatives;
• Undertaking a range of activities in support of the management and operation of the Department's ICT infrastructure environment;
• Implement strategies to ensure Security and Essential 8 requirements are met;
• Undertaking enhancement and remediation activities across relevant technology domains;
• Managing multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines;
• Liaising with external and internal service providers as required;
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships;
• Providing monitoring, alerting and reporting solutions;
• Be a part of the 24x7 support. Providing out of hours support, including a requirement to be on call, on a rostered basis.

Experience in any of the following technologies:

• Windows Server Operating systems
• Active Directory
• MS SQL Server database
• IBM DB2 Database Admin(Linux/Unix)
• Unix or Windows Powershell & SQL programming
• MQ & related products
• z/OS MQ Configuration & Integration Framework
• Microsoft products incl. SCCM, Hyper-V/VMM, SCOM, File & Print
• VMware ESX & vSphere, vSAN, NSX, HCI Virtualisation
• SMTP Email
• SSL Gateways
• Load Balancing
• Proxy
• Firewalls including Firewall management
• IPS
