Local Workforce Hire has been requested to submit a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer and Microsoft 365 Specialist.

Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Microsoft 365 Specialist

Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 Months + Up to 24 Months Extension

Pay: Up To $180 Per Hour, (Inc Super) depending on experience

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain NV1

Department: Services Australia

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Ideally, you will have a proven background in designing, implementing, and optimising integrated solutions using Azure, Entra ID, Graph API, Purview, Power BI, and Copilot services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft 365 services across cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Leading integration initiatives, automating workflows using scripting across M365 and hybrid environments.
• Ensuring operational compliance with security, organisational, and federal government policies.
• Proactively identifying and resolving system performance and reliability issues.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive system documentation, including procedures and user guides.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience delivering and managing Microsoft 365 services, including Azure, Entra ID, Graph API, Purview, Power BI, and Copilot.
• Strong integration skills across cloud and hybrid platforms, with emphasis on automation and scripting.
• Solid knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and Microsoft best practices.
• Experience operating in secure government or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Working Arrangements:

• Hybrid model: Onsite attendance in Canberra for the first 6 weeks, with flexible working arrangements considered thereafter (minimum 3 days in office per week).
• 40 hours per week (full-time engagement).

Security Requirement:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Must have a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
