About the role

We’re seeking a highly organised and systems-focused professional to join our team as Group Operations Manager. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and maintaining the operational backbone of our growing early education group. You will collaborate closely with function leads to optimise and develop policies, processes, and systems across the organisation. You’ll also oversee key supplier relationships, lease and maintenance obligations, and play a central role in onboarding new centres into the group. Key responsibilities

Collaborate with function leads (e.g., payroll, recruitment, operations) to optimise and document scalable systems, workflows, and policies.

Coordinate the review and development of group-wide operational policies to ensure compliance and consistency.

Oversee physical compliance, maintenance schedules, capital expenditure, and lease obligations for 10–15 early childhood education centres.

Maintain and manage supplier registers, including IT systems and software subscriptions.

Coordinate operational aspects of new centre onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the group.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient and compliant operations.

Contribute to operational projects that improve business performance and support organisational growth.

About You

You’re highly systems and process-oriented, with a track record of designing efficient workflows that scale.

You bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar or adjacent operations role—experience in early childhood education is a strong advantage.

You have a structured, detail-driven approach and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

You’re experienced in project management or have been closely involved in project delivery.

You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders effectively, and know how to get things done.

You’re comfortable owning multiple operational functions and enjoy bringing clarity to complexity.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work from home, our team hub in Liverpool, or onsite at new centres during their onboarding and integration phases. You’ll use your professional judgement to determine the most effective working location based on operational needs, ensuring a seamless experience across our network. We expect an average of three days onsite and two days from home each week, providing a balance between in-person impact and remote flexibility.
