Operations Manager – Full Time - Permanent Position
We are seeking a hands-on, visible leader to join our team as Operations Manager at Rich River Golf Club, one of regional NSW’s most iconic sporting and hospitality destinations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing hospitality professional to lead a large, diverse team across a multi-faceted venue. As Operations Manager, you will oversee the Club’s food and beverage, gaming and functions operations, while playing a central role in shaping the service culture and daily atmosphere experienced by our members and guests.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in the thick of the action — leading by example, inspiring their team, and creating a welcoming, elevated experience for every guest. You’ll play a key role in growing patronage, increasing revenue, and improving operational efficiency across the venue.
About the Role
This pivotal position is responsible for the daily operational success of the Club. You will set the tone on the floor — particularly during peak times — and drive service standards, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Your presence will help foster a collaborative and accountable environment where staff feel supported, customers feel valued, and excellence becomes the standard.
This role includes a rotating roster with evening and weekend shifts to ensure leadership is visible and effective during high-traffic service periods.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and support managers and frontline teams across all service areas
Set and uphold high service standards across food & beverage, gaming and functions
Drive a culture of teamwork, ownership and continuous improvement
Enhance revenue, streamline operational efficiencies, and elevate performance
Ensure compliance with Liquor & Gaming NSW, WHS, harm minimisation, and ClubsNSW regulations
Oversee budgeting, rostering, stock control and cost management
Collaborate with the CEO and department heads on operational strategy and innovation
Manage key supplier relationships (beverage, gaming and other contracts)
Oversee food safety systems and ensure legislative requirements are met
Contribute to member communication and marketing initiatives
Deliver accurate financial, reporting and reconciliation processes
About You
You’ll be an experienced leader who is approachable, energetic, and solutions focused.
Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a hospitality, gaming or licensed club environment
Strong operational knowledge of food, beverage and gaming services
Demonstrated success in leading and developing large, diverse teams
Strong working knowledge of NSW compliance requirements including Liquor & Gaming and WHS
Proven experience with budgeting, rostering, and service systems
Excellent interpersonal, coaching and conflict resolution skills
A strong floor presence and a passion for hospitality excellence
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and evenings
Current NSW RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG certifications
Why Join Rich River?
Attractive salary package negotiable based on skills and experience
Hands-on leadership role with scope to innovate and influence
Ongoing career development and professional growth
Access to Club-funded training and networking opportunities
Uniform, laptop, phone allowance, on-site parking and meals provided
