The School
Canning College has been preparing students to achieve entry into Australia’s leading universities since 1982. As a specialist international education institution, it has established a strong reputation for providing local and overseas students with the personal and academic development and pathways required to succeed in tertiary studies.
In the five years from 2019, the College’s expert staff focused exclusively on providing pathway-to-university programs for international students. In 2024, while continuing Canning College’s focus on international students, the College reinstated the enrolment of local (domestic) students seeking entry to university primarily through WA Certificate of Education Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses.
Flexible entry points into Canning College’s academic pathway programs allow international students to start studying in January, April and mid-year, which gives them the opportunity to enter university degree courses sooner. College staff are experienced in providing care, support and academic guidance to students to help them prepare better for the rigours of tertiary studies.
Canning College students pursue a wide range of degree courses including engineering, medicine, physiotherapy, education, law, pharmacy, nursing and computing.
The College operates for 51 weeks per year and has four distinct student intake periods.
