Network Operations Support Officer
ASAP start – 12 month initial assignment - $462 per day (including super) – Parramatta location
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide first-level network support, assisting users with troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
- Maintain and support Cisco VOIP phones and associated systems, including Call Manager, Contact Centre Express, Unity, and VCS.
- Conduct network monitoring and analysis, identifying and addressing potential performance concerns.
- Configure Cisco switches and routers to ensure optimal network functionality.
- Deliver technical assistance for audio/video conferencing solutions.
- Address Wi-Fi connectivity challenges across Cisco and Aruba infrastructure.
- Support advanced networking solutions, including Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Catalyst Centre, and F5 Load Balancers.
- Provide technical guidance to Field Support teams and Engineers.
- Coordinate with vendors, including to resolve issues efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Cisco hardware and firmware-related concerns.
- Identify cabling faults and coordinate repairs with approved cabling contractors.
- Implement standard setup procedures for network and ICT systems in alignment with SLAs, policies, and guidelines.
- Monitor network performance, assisting in the identification of faults and suggesting improvement strategies.
Selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in network support, including troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity issues and configuring network devices.
- Experience managing voice communication systems and supporting audio/video conferencing solutions.
- Ability to monitor network performance, analyse potential issues, and implement solutions to optimise reliability.
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi connectivity across various infrastructure platforms and expertise in network management solutions.
- Strong ability to liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve network-related issues efficiently.
- Experience diagnosing hardware and firmware problems, identifying cabling faults, and coordinating repairs with appropriate stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain technical documentation and contribute to process improvement for ICT support teams.
- Willingness to provide after-hours on-call support as part of a rotational roster and travel to remote sites when required.
- CNA or CCNP certifications is preferable but not mandatory.
