Join our dynamic and collaborative Infrastructure Assets Delivery team, where you will deliver projects that make a real difference to the daily lives of our community.
In this role, you'll lead the delivery of roads, footpaths, and drainage infrastructure taking each project from early planning through to construction completion. With the majority of design and construction handled in-house, you will work closely with internal engineering and construction teams, while also managing contractors, budgets, variations, schedules, cost plans, and project forecasts to ensure successful outcomes.
Key focus areas of the role include:
Undertake the management of infrastructure capital works projects from concept to completion in accordance with Council's project management framework and capital works processes including managing budgets, variations, schedules, cost plans and forecasts for each project.
Identify, develop, and maintain procedures and risk assessments and assist in the development of management systems associated with asset and project
Prepare tender documentation, quotations and engage consultants and contractors.
Liaise with stakeholders in the design and delivery of projects including internal departments, service authorities, Government agencies, business and the general public, and provide technical solutions to other Council staff.
Apply engineering guidelines and best practice to assets planned, acquired, and constructed by both Council and developers, to ensure long-term asset maintenance is minimised.

You are a proactive and collaborative professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously and are comfortable balancing office-based work with occasional site visits. Outcome-focused and approachable, you're passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure and making a meaningful impact in the local government space.
You bring a solid background in civil construction, with proven project management experience and a strong ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels. You are known for your communication skills, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for smarter ways to work. Experience in local government is a bonus, as is your ability to navigate governance, compliance, and competing priorities with confidence and care.
Specifically, you will address the criteria below:
Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience and qualifications, in a relevant discipline such as Civil or Structural Engineering, Project Management, or Civil Construction
Demonstrated experience in the supervision and efficient direction of a work team.
Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage and lead multiple projects, meet strict deadlines and deliver identified outcomes
Demonstrated understanding of capital works budget management and cost control
Sound knowledge of asset management principles and practices, including asset lifecycle costs

Competitive salary from $1,756.16 to $2,040.96 a week plus 12% industry leading superannuation
Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with reviews available to support movement through the salary range
Enterprise Agreement pay rise effective July 2025
35-hour week with flexible working hours and nine-day fortnight
