Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of major building projects. You will coordinate and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from pre-design to post-construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain excellent communication and collaboration throughout the project. You will mentor a team of project managers and guide them through various stages of their projects.
Main tasks include
- Lead the coordination and management of building projects using Modern Methods of Construction.
- Manage project procurement, ensuring adherence to time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Liaise with clients to ensure project alignment with their requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external consultants and internal staff involved in project delivery.
- Provide expert advice to clients on procurement and project programming.
- Manage project financials and reporting.
- Mentor and support a team of Project Managers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on building construction.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience with Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Tertiary qualification in construction management or a related field.
- Experience working on government projects is highly desirable.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety principles.

Requirements of this role include:
- Current Australian working rights (Evidence required prior to being presented to the client)
- Hold a Current Builders Supervisors Licence - Highly Regarded
- A current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent.
- Criminal history check prior to appointment
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
