Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and loves the behind-the-scenes buzz of events?
Based in one of Australia’s most iconic and historic venues, Brisbane City Hall, we’re looking for a proactive Operations Assistant to join our team and provide critical on-the-ground support across event operations, logistics, and compliance.
This role is essential in maintaining smooth, safe, and successful events while assisting an experienced team member managing a high workload.
No two days are the same at Brisbane City Hall so you will need to be a highly organised individual that is familiar with engaging with numerous stakeholders and event partners. With up to 11 function and event spaces being available for both public and private use, you will need to have your finger firmly on the pulse to ensure that business runs efficiently, and service excellence is achieved on a daily basis.
This is an active, event-based role requiring flexible availability including early starts, evenings, and occasional weekends.

· Building & event access
· KGS site support
· Dock deliveries & stock receiving
· Scheduled maintenance & contractors
· General operations
About You
Highly organised and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
Comfortable with physical tasks and hands-on work.
Excellent communicator who can follow procedure and take initiative.
RSA and knowledge of food safety and compliance (preferred).
Forklift license or experience using pallet jacks/lifters is a bonus.
