Paradise Resort Gold Coast is looking for a hands-on, proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join our leadership team and help take our guest experience to the next level. This role requires weekends, evenings and public holidays.

What you'll be doing
This is not a Front Desk role – you will be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the resort, working closely with all departments to ensure our service standards are exceeded and any issues are swiftly resolved. From supporting departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Entertainment, you’ll be a visible and hands-on leader.
This is a multi-faceted role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to think on their feet in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support and supervise daily operations across departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Activities, and more.
Be a visible leader across the resort, providing hands-on support in high-traffic areas.
Ensure a consistent standard of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service across all public and back-of-house areas.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, managing escalated issues.
Conduct regular inspections of public and back-of-house areas and taking immediate action to rectify any issues.
Train, develop, and support team members to deliver consistent, high-quality performance.
Assist with emergency procedures including fire, first aid, and aquatic rescue.
About You
Experience in an Operational Management role in resorts/hotels.
A proactive, “lead from the front” mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to stay calm and composed in challenging situations.
Great attention to detail and a passion for guest satisfaction.
Holds (or willing to obtain) a current First Aid & Advanced Resuscitation certificate (essential).
Fire Warden and/or Emergency Response Experience.
Working with Children Check QLD (or willing to obtain)
RSA (or willing to obtain)
Able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
