Gold Coast Disability and Youth (GCDAY) is a medium sized disability support service specialising in ASD teens and young adults. We provide self and plan managed NDIS participants with a range of support options including individual support and group programs. We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly company with strong ties to the community and have a strong passion for inclusion of gender and sexually diverse clients and workers.
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic after-hours staffing/rostering officer to join our growing team. As our staffing department is the first point of contact between our company and both our clients and our worker, we are looking for someone to join and assist with managing after hours and weekend tasks. The after hours shift times we would be looking for between would be 3pm - 8:30pm and Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday. An ideal candidate would be able to cover the majority of these days and times. These are negotiable.
Your Role:
Managing after-hours rostering for support workers providing one-on-one support and group programs
Responding to urgent client and staff needs outside of regular business hours
Handling last-minute shift changes and emergency staffing situations
Providing support to support workers on shift to ensure client needs are met
Managing the after-hours phone line
Documenting all after-hours communications and decisions for handover to day staff
Organising urgent replacements for workers who call in sick during evening/weekend shifts
Ensuring incident reports are properly filed and escalated when necessary
Requirements:
High attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability work under pressure, prioritise your workload, and meet deadlines
Ability to work in an LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodiverse affirming environment while dealing with gender and sexually diverse clients and workers
Previous rostering experience preferred but not required
Experience with the NDIS preferred but not required
Prefered experience with ShiftCare software
