About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Rostering Supervisor to lead a team of high performing Roster Officers, ensuring smooth delivery of exceptional client services .

Your key responsibilities
- The Rostering Supervisor is directly responsible to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the CEO.
- Manage team closely with the rostering supervision in resolving issues with shifts and payroll as well as improving efficiencies to assure reduction in payroll costs.
- Works collaboratively with Coordinators/Officers, Team Leaders and other members of the team in relation to rostered services and program requirements.
- Works in partnership with the Recruitment Officer and Team Leaders for Care Staff to meet client roster demands and ensure a high standard of service delivery is achieved at all times.
- Liaises with clients, carers/family, and Care Staff to ensure rostered services are organised and delivered.
- Maintains good relationships with care staff to ensure skills and abilities are in line with services provided.
Your key responsibilities will encompass
- Accurately record all necessary information and client communication in operational notes and dashboard.
- Report any discrepancies in staff contract hours and rostered hours, to payroll.
- Run regular reports to monitor the rostering team's activities and that rosters have minimal non-contact time scheduled.
- Provide regular updates and report any operational concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with the quality standards framework and organisational policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in change management strategies and new service rollouts.
- Regularly monitor and check rosters entered in the database for accuracy.
- Hold regular meetings with the rostering team to share information and identify any areas needing improvement.
- Attend staff and other team meetings as requested.
- Carry out other relevant duties that may arise within the operation of the programs.
- Actively contribute to improving processes and systems.
- Understand and be knowledgeable of the various funded programs.
About you
- Previous experience rostering services within aged and or disability sector (preferred).
- Must have Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and work effectively within a team.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and quick-thinking processes to facilitate problem solving.
- High level communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise work.
- Ability to calmly perform in high pressure situations.
- Experience within a customer service role.
- Ability to gain the best performance from team members and work proactively towards targets and goals.
Skills in
- High level data entry skills and ability to analyse data.
- Rostering software.
- Microsoft office programs and ability to quickly learn computer software packages
- Use of internet, including use of e-mail programs and group messaging.
- Oral communication which is culturally appropriate for target clients.
- Relationship building over the telephone with care staff, clients, and families
- Problem solving and ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and changing work environment
- Clerical abilities
- Ability to manage teams.
- Ability to motivate and involve staff in problem solving and finding solutions.
- Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to organisational structure changes.
- Ability to communicate in another language where possible.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Ability to follow directions and respect decisions and requests by Supervisors.
- Integrity and ethical awareness due to confidentiality of clients' records.
- Hold a current Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police.
