About the role
This reputable and established Mornington Peninsula Hotel is seeking an experienced and driven Venue Manager to join the team. This full time role will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the venue, inspiring and motivating the team of loyal staff, and ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained at all times.
What you'll be doing
Managing and leading a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff
Monitoring and maintaining financial performance, including budgeting and cost control
Implementing and overseeing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws
Developing and executing marketing and promotional strategies to drive customer engagement and revenue growth
Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages employee development and retention
Identifying and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner
Continuously looking for ways to improve the overall guest experience
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar venue management role within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
Proven track record of driving financial performance and implementing successful marketing strategies
Experience in gaming and a thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations, guidelines and best practices
Proficient in using various hospitality management platforms
Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Current RSA, RSG and Police Check required
You must have permanent working rights in Australia (Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
