Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the community? Our client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Bookkeeper to join their small, dedicated finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will support the day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll and month end tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and receivable process, including data verification, data entry, banking, and ledger maintenance.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders, handling account inquiries and outstanding accounts.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile multiple bank accounts accurately.
  • BAS Preparation: Collect and collate data for Business Activity Statements.
  • Audit Preparation: Participate in preparations for the annual audit.
  • Team Support: Support other finance team members as needed and contribute to process improvements.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role, with a strong background in using Xero accounting software.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise and thorough in handling financial data and transactions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Outlook and Office 365 tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Proactive and Flexible: Able to plan and manage your workload independently and adapt to new challenges.
  • Problem-Solver: Skilled at identifying anomalies and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Innovative Mindset: Willing to challenge existing approaches and introduce new concepts and ideas.
  • Lifelong Learner: Eager to embrace new technologies and directions.
  • Team Player: An effective communicator who builds trustful relationships with team members.
