We are a busy Melbourne based bookkeeping firm specialising in Xero & MYOB. We require a part-time staff member to join our team. The successful applicant should be very organised, passionate about accounting, highly motivated and willing to learn.

This role is a remote role and could be fulfilled by anyone within Australia. However, if you are Melbourne based, it could be hybrid if desired. We have offices in Camberwell.

This role includes working with our clients, specifically law firms and helping with Law firms trust account reconciliations. Ideally, you should have the following skills:

Knowledge of the Victorian trust account regulations.

Trust Accounting - using LEAP & SmokeBall for trust account reconciliations and end of month trust reports.

MYOB & Xero - bookkeeping & potentially payroll

Banking - uploading payments to online banking for client approval

ATO - lodgements of BAS, IAS and liaison with ATO when required.

Administration - answering phones, organising tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.

Client interaction - applicants must have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

The successful applicant must be tech savvy and enjoy learning new software systems / add-ons and must work well under pressure. We are looking for someone with initiative and has the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Hours are flexible, but anticipate 20 hours per week spread across 5 days.

References are essential and evidence of relevant experience. Applications should hold a degree or diploma in accounting / bookkeeping. Interviews will be conducted for short-listed candidates via Teams.
