About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Assistant Cook to join our team at South St ELC in Hadfield, Victoria. This part-time role (25 hours per week) is crucial in supporting our children's nutrition and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our care

Ensuring all food preparation and service follows relevant health, safety and hygiene standards

Collaborating with the Childcare team to develop seasonal menus that cater to children's dietary requirements

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Assisting with shopping, stock management and other kitchen-related duties as required

What we're looking for

Experience working as a cook or chef in an early learning, childcare or similar environment

Strong knowledge of food safety, preparation and nutrition for young children

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain

First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
