The role will be centred around the independent management of contracts pertaining to the procurement of either freight services or reagents; ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and an overall alignment with wider business objectives.

Description

• Experience managing high risk and complex contractual relationships between the organisation and suppliers, with particular attention to sustainability, governance and compliance.
• The ability to autonomously prepare, manage, and evaluate the end-to-end tender process, including drafting tender documentation, managing pricing submissions, conducting negotiations, preparing evaluation and recommendation reports, and reviewing terms and conditions.
• The analysis of existing and the identification of new suppliers; engaging in direct negotiations as required to improve commercial outcomes, performance and/or other measurables.
• Assist with the development and implementation of savings plans and drive tangible cost savings and operational benefits through the contracting process.
• Ideally experience handling contracts packages pertaining to freight and/or reagents.

Profile

The successful candidate will have previous experience or the ability to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience within an end-to-end contract management role within an operator, exposure to gold operations would be highly desirable.
• Previous category exposure to freight services or reagents, ideally with an existing network within either vertical.
• Demonstrated experience managing the design and subsequent implementation of contract/category strategies to achieve particular commercial or performance outcomes.
