The Opportunity
The Procurement and Contract Officer is an integral part of the Procurement Team and assists with the planning, development and delivery of a diverse range of procurement services that achieve Institute goals, financial targets, probity and business requirements.
This exciting role will see you provide a wide range of procurement services to stakeholders across the organisation to assist our researchers to achieve their mission to improve the health, development and lives of children and young people
Your working day will be sure to keep you busy with a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Managing various procurement processes, including market engagement, requirement determination, stakeholder management, evaluations, clarifications, negotiations and due diligence.
The provision of a contracting service, including high quality and compliant technical advice and support in contract review, negotiation and execution.
Contract management to ensure that our contract obligations are comprehensively fulfilled, record keeping and auditability are achieved, and maximum value is delivered.
Fostering strong collaborative partnerships with key suppliers that reduce costs, increase value and promote innovation.
Continual improvement of procurement documentation, systems, processes and resources.
This role will be based at Perth Children’s Hospital and will be offered on a permanent full-time basis. Part-time (0.8 FTE) can also be considered for exceptional candidates.
About You
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic organisation, building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and be passionate about providing high level customer service.
You will also need to demonstrate the following skills & experience:
Business acumen, judgement and initiative required for the planning, development and management of complex procurement projects.
Ability to develop and implement appropriate procurement strategies, prepare appropriate procurement documentation and manage procurement processes.
Capacity to undertake effective contracting and contract management to achieve high quality and risk managed outcomes.
Highly developed negotiation skills.
Experience with purchasing processes and systems.
