Lead Purchasing Specialist for Mining Client in Perth CBD - SAP Essential

The Lead Purchasing Specialist oversees transactional purchasing operations in SAP (P2P/MM) while managing a team of three Procurement Officers. This role ensures efficient procurement processes, data integrity, and compliance, collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Warehouse teams. The position requires strong SAP MM expertise and experience in ERP-based purchasing, with a background in mining, resources, or heavy industry considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Procurement Officers, supporting development and performance.
• Manage end-to-end SAP transactional purchasing, including PO creation, expediting, and invoice resolution.
• Ensure system efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance with procurement workflows.
• Drive training, mentoring, and KPI achievement within the team.
• Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive experience in procurement/purchasing roles with leadership or mentoring exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP MM module and ERP-based purchasing processes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or CIPS certifications.

Additional leadership or supervisory certifications are desirable.
