Enterprise Account Manager – Payments, E-commerce and Growth-Focused Portfolios
- An initial 6 month day rate contract
- Sydney CBD (3 days) / Hybrid
A global digital payments leader is expanding its ANZ team and seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of fully onboarded enterprise merchants. This is a commercial role focused on strategic relationship management, upsell opportunities and long-term client growth — not new business development. Think land and expand, upsell, cross sell.
About the Role
As part a a dynamic and growing team, you'll manage a portfolio of active merchants with annual revenues between $150k and $1M. These clients are fully integrated and using the platform. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities for further growth, deepening product adoption and maintaining strong operational performance.
You’ll work closely with product, operations and engineering teams to deliver tailored outcomes and position new capabilities such as optimised checkout and payment solutions.
Your daily
- Manage a portfolio of mid to large enterprise merchants, typically generating $300k–$400k annually
- Lead account planning, upsell and cross-sell strategies aligned with merchant goals and product capabilities
- Maintain trusted commercial relationships across multiple client stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate risks to retention, acting early to address churn indicators
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth delivery, integration updates, and client satisfaction
- Use performance insights to guide commercial decisions and maximise portfolio value
- Report on account performance, revenue pipeline, and growth opportunities via Salesforce
About You
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in account management or customer success, ideally in fintech, payments, or e-commerce
- Proven track record of growing existing client portfolios through tailored strategies
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to understand and act on levers for retention and expansion
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of payment flows, checkout optimisation, and the e-commerce ecosystem
- Capable of stepping into an active portfolio with minimal ramp-up time
