High profile Government Team requires an experienced Management Accountant for Temp Contract role

The finance team within a well known government organisation requires the expertise of an experienced Management Accountant to business partner with key senior leaders.

This is a 5 month temporary contract with offices located in Sydney CBD. Immediate start.

Your new role

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Month-end preparation including financial management reporting, variance analysis and projections to business leaders
• Budgeting, forecasting and commentary
• Year end close preparation
• Journal Adjustments
• Providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders to support business strategic goals
• Business partnering with key stakeholders across corporate services, compliance and internal finance teams

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous management accounting experience where you have actively business partnered with key non-finance leaders
  
• CPA or CA qualifications
• Ability to provide complex financial information to non finance leaders that is easy to understand
• Strong finance business partnering skills to guide, influence and support business strategies
• Advanced analytical and Excel skills
• Ideally Government experience or a similar role within large complex organisations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong systems knowledge - ideally SAP and TM1, advanced Excel
