Padstow Park Hotel have an exciting and rare opportunity available for a high calibre Sous Chef. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to progress within a highly recognised and reputable Hospitality group.

Padstow Park Hotel is a popular and vibrant venue which boasts both a sophisticated and stylish design and includes a range of exceptional quality pub food, beverages, and entertainment activities.

THE ROLE
The role involves preparing top quality food under the Head Chef's direction and standards. This role forms part of a small/medium sized kitchen and will require excellent working knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine as well as previous experience gained in successful, high turnover restaurant or bistro. This position is a PERMANENT role, working a seven (7) day roster covering nights and weekends.

Your overall responsibility is to lead by example through the execution of top quality dishes, ensuring the Bistro’s high standards are maintained at all times.

THE CANDIDATE

Padstow Park Hotel is looking for an accomplished all rounder Sous Chef! The successful candidate will have the following:

Must be trade qualified and hold a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery.

Must have minimum four (4) years post qualified experience.

Previous high calibre hotel bistro or restaurant experience is essential

A key success in this role, is a genuine passion for producing great food coupled with excellent organisational skills, a reliable honest attitude and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Must be supportive to the directives of the Head Chef and capable of running the daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

The right candidate must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented and groomed at all times.

A committed, trustworthy and responsible person is what we are looking for, as well as someone who can be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays
