The Grounds is looking for SOUS Chefs & HEAD Chefs to join our team. Come and join us and contribute to new menus, kitchen management and creating dishes unrivalled in beauty and creativity!

As Sous Chef or Head Chef you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the preparation and production of meals within The Grounds Group in one of our versatile, fast-paced Kitchens!

Help lead and inspire our menu offering, emerging talent, and every guest, working collaboratively, efficiently, and professionally in a fast-paced kitchen - providing beautiful food that provides unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Working at The Grounds Group will require evening and weekend availability, however, we work to flexible rosters, and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in overseeing and directing all aspects of Kitchen operations

Responsible for food preparation and production

Managing and coordinating food supply and stock ordering

Assisting Head Chef in new menu production, and menu tasting

Ensuring effective stock purchasing and waste control

Assisting in the training and mentorship of junior and apprentice chefs

Oversee the writing and costing of all kitchen rosters via Deputy

Approve correct timesheets, resolving any timesheet issues

Set high levels of work ethic standards by adopting a ‘Hands On’ management style

Ensure kitchen safety and cleanliness is adhered to in all kitchens and food storage areas

Ensure all kitchen activities meet organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and duty of care

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated substantial cooking experience in a similar role with an obvious passion to develop your skills and career. Your attention to detail is unrivaled and your time management unquestionable. Salary is dependent on experience, from $70k ( Jnr Sous) + plus superannuation
