About the role

Hydromet is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team in Caboolture, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounts support to ensure the smooth running of our finance operations.

What you'll be doing

Perform accounts receivable and payable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations using MYOB

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented

Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements

Follow up on Quotes

Sending out Statements and following up on payments

Provide backup support for other finance team member

Contributing to the facebook pages and sending bulk Emails to Customers

Hours are 8.00 to 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 8.00 to 3.00 on Friday

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role, ideally within a small to medium-sized business

Strong numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records

Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, Must be fluent with MYOB

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger

Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines

We are a small family business so being able to work autonomously is a must .
