The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to accelerate the adoption of our innovative Hub solutions across Australia. In this strategic role, you will drive business growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities within key sectors like mining, oil & gas, construction, utilities, agriculture, and government.

As a BDM, you'll leverage your strong industry knowledge and consultative selling approach to build relationships with decision-makers, from operational managers to C-level executives. Your mission will be to craft tailored, solution-based proposals that address customer needs and business outcomes.

With a national remit, the role involves up to 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target industries and emerging markets.

Strategic Prospecting: Build and maintain a pipeline of high-potential accounts through outbound initiatives, partnerships, and networking.

Solution Selling: Lead discovery conversations, understanding customer needs to craft tailored drone and sensor solutions.

Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, fostering long-term partnerships.

Partnership Building: Expand Sphere reach by developing strategic relationships with industry partners and resellers.

Sales Strategy Execution: Contribute to go-to-market strategies, growth campaigns, and territory planning.

Negotiation & Closing: Manage end-to-end deal cycles, from negotiations to contract closure.

Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account documentation using Salesforce.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with technical, operations, and product teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.

Customer Advocacy: Provide valuable field feedback to shape Sphere evolving value proposition.

Qualifications:

5+ years of B2B business development or solution sales experience, ideally in drones, SaaS, sensors, or industrial technology.

Proven success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments, closing deals with mid-to-large enterprises.

Strong consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).

High commercial acumen, self-motivation, and resilience.

Willingness to travel interstate as needed (approx. 25%).
