About the role

Join the dynamic team at A/Prof Kylie Snook's medical practice as a part-time Medical Receptionist. In this key role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the busy front office operations. With a focus on improving patient experiences, this position will be integral to the success of the practice. Working 2-3 days/ week ( 5 days/fortnight) with flexibility to work from home on non-consulting days, you will also be needed to provide leave cover for a full time staff member on occasion.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

Handling patient inquiries and booking appointments

Processing payments and managing financial transactions including surgical estimates and billings

Organising and prioritising daily administrative tasks

Coordinating patient bookings including hospital admissions, operating lists and appointments with medical imaging and other specialists

Providing general administrative support as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

Proficient in using medical practice management software, experience with Genie is preferred

Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality

Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Medical knowledge or interest in the healthcare industry is essential, previous experience in a surgical practice is preferred
