Our client, a well-established group specialist practice, is actively seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. Our client provides medical consultations, medico-legal services and neurophysiology including nerve conduction studies and EEG's. This is a busy practice and in need of a capable, reliable and passionate Medical Receptionist/Secretary who is genuinely looking to develop a career within the medical/healthcare setting.
This position would require the candidate to work Monday to Friday (7.6 hour days), with rostered hours from 7:45am to 5:00pm. There is also some flexibility available, those candidates seeking 4 days a week (Monday’s would be the RDO), those candidates are also strongly encouraged to apply.
This position would suit a well-rounded and experienced candidate who can jump into the role immediately.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Taking all incoming calls, assisting patients with general enquiries, and distributing messages to the relevant specialists in a timely manner
Meet and greet patients as they arrive to the Practice, booking/rescheduling/cancelling patient appointments using Genie software, processing patient billing and receipting following consultations.
Working with the Practice Manager to prioritise urgent enquiries, and liaise closely with specialists and other providers
Managing task lists and emailed correspondence on a daily basis
General document management and preparation of patient charts in advance of patient clinics and in conjunction with the specialists and Practice Manager.
In addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
A strong desire to provide a high level of service to the patients of the practice
immaculate personal presentation
An exemplary telephone manner and a compassionate demeanour
Have at least 1 year previous experience working within a specialist practice
Must be a team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate you are proactive with strong time management and organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently.
Must be able to multi skill and work under pressure
High level of competency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, prefer previous experience with Genie software or alike

Remuneration:
A salary within the range of $32 - $38 p/hour + super will be on offer for a suitably experienced candidate. Ample secure street parking available.
