GRIFFIN COAL

The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking an experienced purchasing professional to join our existing supply team.

THE ROLE

The Purchasing Officer will support the procurement and expediting process for the delivery of equipment and supply of goods/services to site.

You will also:

· Support contract and supplier management to ensure company objectives are met;

· Identify cost-competitive and reliable supplies of materials;

· Ensure all materials are ordered and received according to specification;

· Monitor and determine appropriate freight needs and expedite supply to site;

· Assist in the maintenance of supply databases and catalogue;

· Support purchasing and strategic sourcing initiatives activities;

· Ensure correct costing of materials;

· Identify and support supply process improvements; and

· Support resolution of procurement issues, queries and discrepancies

EXPERIENCE

Advanced proficiency in Pronto ERP software is an essential requirement for this role

The preferred candidate will have:

2 to 5 years’ experience within the resource industry role;

Demonstrated understanding and experience of supply procedures; and

Tertiary study in a Business or Logistics discipline (preferred);

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered. Applicants must reside permanently within 1 hour of our Ewington Mine site.
